Jean-François obtained an MBA in International Management from ISEG and St John’s University New York and joined Cleverdis in 2009 as Marketing Manager.
In 2012, he became the Managing Director of Cleverdis and, since then, constantly comes up with new ideas and seeks continuous improvement for the development of the company.
In 2020, he became the full owner of the company and took the role of President & CEO.
Bettina Badon

Originally from Germany, Bettina obtained a bi-national diploma in European Business Studies from Fachhochschule Landshut and APU Cambridge. After several positions in the US and France, she joined Cleverdis in 2003.
Since 2007, she has held various positions, such as Sales Manager, Project Manager for IFA International, ITB News and IFTM Dailt and COO.
Benjamin Klene
Chief Development officer
World traveller and wine lover, Benjamin has extensive experience and has worked in a variety of sales related fields. With his bi-cultural heritage, he seamlessly and fluently transitions between French and English. He currently heads up the sales development at Cleverdis.
A Russian, Veronika obtained double-Master degree of Finance University and Business School SBCS, with a specialisation in Tourism & Hospitality and Event Management.
After work experience in an IT-Travel Startup and international exhibitions, she joined Cleverdis in 2021.
Emiliana Van Der Eng
Head of editorial team
Emiliana is the head of the Editorial Team. Holding
a PhD in Communication Sciences and speaking five languages (English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Bulgarian), prior to Cleverdis her background was in photojournalism, event and IT management & client relations.
Originally from Sofia, Bulgaria, Emiliana’s broad professional and academic history from across Europe and the United States brings a valuable cross-cultural experience to the team.
Thomas Campbell
Senior editor and external relations coordinator
Tom was a reporter for one of the UK’s leading news agencies – SWNS, with a background in project management and analytics. He also holds a BSc in Politics and MSc in International Development from the London School of Economics.
Tom recently joined the Cleverdis team as a Senior Editor having been a freelancer for more than a year. He helps create, coordinate and publish multimedia content across the company’s various platforms. He his fluent in English, French and Spanish, and has a passion for archeology.
Zineb Elhabiri
Internal procedures, events and CSR officer
Zineb started at Cleverdis as an intern, before quickly being promoted to Internal procedures, events and CSR officer. With extensive knowledge in process and digital tools, she manages the organisation of all events and is working towards reducing the company’s carbon footprint. She also plays a key role in change management, identifying, testing and delivering innovative tools and products to improve the performance of Cleverdis’ business units. She holds a master in management and international sales and has a passion for learning and development.

Camille joined Cleverdis as our new Editorial Assistant, bringing her passion for writing and attention to detail to the team. With a journalism background and a strong drive to make a meaningful impact, she excels in researching and crafting compelling content. Camille’s organizational skills, collaborative mindset, and dedication to deadlines make her an invaluable asset to our editorial team. Her love for literature and photography fuels her creativity outside of work, adding depth to her writing.

Daniel Bardsley has worked as a journalist for more than two decades in his native United Kingdom and abroad. As well as working as a staff journalist, he has freelanced for a wide variety of newspapers, magazines and websites, writing on subjects ranging from wealth management to the environment.
Richard Richard Barnes, born in Sydney (1960) started his media career in the early 1980’s in Australian radio news. Moving to Europe in 1986, he continued working in radio, TV (T l Monte Carlo, NBC Superchannel,
CNN, Eurosport, etc.), then in print, working for agencies such as SIPA Press in Paris.
In 2000, he began working with Cleverdis as editor-in-chief of all English language publications. He has also been responsible for numerous major bespoke marketing/communication consulting missions (i.e. Samsung, LG, Panasonic, Microsoft, Intel, European Travel Commission, Tourism Malaysia, Islands of Tahiti, etc.).
Harry is the host of the IFA Tech Talk Podcast and works as a TV and Radio Broadcaster. He was recognised early on as one of the next best presenters coming into the industry by Global and BBC Radio 1, very quickly joining the Absolute Radio Breakfast Show team, before going on to host his own shows across the Hits Radio Network.
Harry has reported from the racetrack to the red carpet, regularly hosting live stages, presenting large scale sporting events, and is a lead commentator for Formula 1 and its support series on the World Feed and on Sky Sports F1 in the UK.
A French national, Luc Citrinot has been
a freelance journalist and consultant in tourism and air transport for more than 20 years in Paris. He works for various travel and air transport trade publications based in both Europe and Asia.
In 2018 and 2019, he co-operated with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to create and produce the first LGBTQ official guide of Bangkok. Luc has worked for Cleverdis across travel shows under the ITB Brand (ITB Berlin, ITB India and ITB Asia), as well as for IFTM-Top Resa.
Simon started his journalism career in 1994 and has worked in a number of different industries, including hospitality and tourism, electronics and food retailing. Since working with Cleverdis, he has worked across various publications including ITB Berlin News, ITB Asia News, IFTM Daily and IFA International. Simon also works on the ITB News and Sial News platforms.
Kevin is a seasoned business journalist, content writer
and editor working in several sectors: airports/aviation, travel-retail and tourism; beauty, luxury goods and fashion; and food and drinks retailing. His articles can be see online at Forbes.com and Jing Daily, and in print at Global Drinks Intel, among others. He also creates content for comms agencies, research groups, retailers and brands. As a sub-editor he has worked for The Times (London), The Mirror and The Institute of Directors.
Francesca Seden

Francesca Seden has an extensive background in trade journalism within the interiors and consumer tech worlds. Throughout her varied freelance career she has also edited a security magazine, written music reviews, interviewed celebrities about their favourite technology for the Metro newspaper and crafted copy for a wide range of commercial clients.
Art Director for the past 25 years, Hélène Beunat worked for some of the biggest communications agencies in Paris, such as Publicis, Téquila, Eccla or Young & Rubicam, before coming down to the Manille-RSCG agency in Marseille. She joined Cleverdis in 2004 and is in charge of designing the publications.
